My best friend

I think all of us have a best friend, someone who we trust more than no one. In my case I think I have two: Oscar and Felipe.

I met them both at school. Felipe was my classmate since 2001 (5th grade) and Oscar was in the parallel class.

With Oscar we've been friends for 7 years from now (more or less) and with Felipe for 10 years (more or less). 

I consider them my best friends because they are who I trust the most, they know all about me and viceversa. 

And them both have been with me when I needed the most. 

With Felipe I went to a class-trip on 2007 to Brazil it was good and with other friends we've gone to the beach on different summers. I think those are my best memories with him.

Oscar has been my couple for 2 years from now and before this we've been friends (like I said before). 3 years ago we went to a trip with 2 more friends. We went to the south of Chile (Santiago to Chiloé) and we were traveling for like 3 weeks. We have a lots of photos of that and also last year we (only we both) traveled to Argentina (Villa la Angostura and San Martìn de los Andes) and we visited the south of chile too (Huerquehue, Petrohue and Puerto Varas). Those are my best memories with him. 

I hope I could carry on collecting memories with them. 

Into the wild

I've never been keen on films so I don't really have a "favourite movie", but if someone ask me which one is my favorite I would say Into the wild.

This movie it's about a true story of a men (Cristopher McCandless) who after get the university done, decided leave everything. I mean get free of material life or things. Before he starts his new life, he broke his credit cards, he give his money (for charity), changed his name to Alexander Supertramp and he gone "Into the wild" (way to Alaska).

In this movie acts: 

Emile Hirsch (Christopher McCandless): A good 'student and son' who doesn't like the material life and decided go live in nature (without telling to his family), with no money. 

William Hurt (Walt McCandless) and Marcia Gay Harden (Billie McCandless): The parents of Cristopher. He is a hard-worker man who, thanks to this, forgot his family and she a house wife, and both are the kind of people who like feigh that everything is O.K. But their marriage is a disaster.

Jena Malone (Carine McCandless):  The Cristopher's sister. She is like the only friend he has, but he not ever told her, what he was planning to do. 

None part of the movie it's my favourite, I found it difficult to choose. All movie, in my opinion, is brilliant, even the soundtrack. I mean, the whole time you are feeling differents emotions.

I totally recommend it.

A place I would like to visit: España (Barcelona)

Barcelona is and Spanish city (the second most populated after Madrid).

I would like to go there because I had heared about the beauty of the city due to its architecture.

I don't know much about Spain in general but I do know that there are two main languages: Spanish (Castilian) and Catalonian (I would like to learn speak this).

In this place I would like to go to the beach, take some pictures, tours, go to museums, maybe go to the stadium, etc.

Is a place where I would like live or study maybe, because I have an uncle who studied there and he says that that was a very good experience. Also I have always said I have to go there (Spain) because of my last name I think and I like the accent they have and Is easier (If I go to study) for me to understand the subjects  too.  

About me

My name is Victoria, I'm studying forestry at Universidad de Chile. I'm 24 years old and I live with my parents and sisters in Santiago, Chile (we are from here).
My mother (Nadia) is an English teacher and my father (Ricardo) is an electrical engineer.
I have two sisters, their names are Tania and Belén. Tania is 21 years old and she is studying desing at Univerdad de Chile and Belén is 19 years old and she is studying architecture at the same university.
My hobbies are watching birds (listen to and identify them by sound and sight), and take photographs, but lately this one hasn't be the activity I do the most.
My weaksness in English is mainly the oral part, like talk fluent, because is difficult to me to connect ideas in my head and translate them at the same time I'm speaking, so in this class I hope improve this.

Semestre 2 Level 4

Blog

Hi!, Ow this semester has concluded so this blog too.
The experience of writing a blog was, weird haha, I don't know, I've never thought this could be a method to evaluate something on a subject. I think this is a good method indeed, because without want to, you'll learn a lot of vocabulary, because you have to write about something in specific and to do that, you have to know how to express yourself and sometimes you don't know how to say it and you must search new words because of that.
In the future I'd like to include "translate songs" (English to Spanish or viceversa) I think that is a nice method (and funny) to learn new words and is something that might interest a lot of people, because there is always much people who wants lyrics in spanish but they don't know speak english, so If we know how to translate it, we could help them and also we learn with that. I don't know is just an idea.

The truth is that I have no idea about what haha, maybe about vacations or university experience... I don't know.

So this is the end of this semester and I must to say goodbye to this... and hi vacations!!! hahaha (one week only :c, but something is something).

Favourite subject

Hi everybody.

Today I’m going to talk about my favourite subject at university.

I have two favourite subjects.

The first one is Soil, and the second one is Botany, both are part of one single subject called CICBAE.

In soil, I have learned about geomorphology, minerals, rocks. And in botany about the parts who compound a plant, like vascular system, their tissues, etc.

I like known about minerals, how they are compounds and how the earth was made, I mean, I feel so interested in those topic, I love the fact that with little details you can infer a lot of things about the landscape.

In Botany I like the taxonomy part, that is to say, how the plant organs are classified, their families. I like recognize them. 

That’s why those one are my favorite subject.
